This Life-sized Polly Pocket House Is Now Available on Airbnb

If you’re a fellow ’90s kid, chances are you’ve seen the movie Life Size where the doll comes to life and becomes a human. With the latest Airbnb Icon property and experience, you can be the one to turn into the doll.
In celebration of Mattel’s Polly Pocket 35th birthday, the company collaborated with Airbnb to turn its iconic four-inch-tall dress-up doll into an Airbnb host. Polly is opening up her vintage-themed 1994 Slumber Party Fun compact for sleepovers and guest experiences that will make your childhood dreams come true. (She’ll be in good company with previous Icon stays ranging from Mattel’s Barbie MalibuDream House, Disney and Pixar’s Up house, and Ted Lasso’s “Richmond” pub, to name a few.)

Journey to Polly’s hometown of Littleton, Massachusetts, where you’ll find an exact, to-scale replica of her heart-shaped plastic two-story home. There, guests can explore the compact and all the hidden gems just waiting to be found.
What’s Polly without her classic closet? Make the doll’s life work for you when you get the opportunity to try on some of her most famous throwback coats, shawls, and dresses. Naturally in that same gummy texture that we all know and love. (Please don’t chew on these though, they’re far too chic.)
After you try on the perfect outfit, visit Polly’s vanity where drawers are filled with nostalgic accessories like press-on nails and stickers, butterfly clips, chunky scrunchies and so much more.

The grandiose kitchen has beloved ’90s treats with little surprises tucked away in jars and drawers for you to enjoy. I loved finding the real Polly-Phone to leave our little friend a special message.
A day spent in this purple plastic time machine wouldn’t be complete without getting to make your very own charm bracelet or necklace to match with your BFF. After a fun-filled afternoon, guests can keep the slumber party going by snuggling up on the couch, turning on the TV, and popping in a video cassette … which is how we know we’ve gone back in time. Polly’s life-sized Action Park Tent is a few feet away meant for spending the night snuggled under the glow-in-the-dark star-filled ceiling.
The stay will be open to guests on Sept. 12, through Sept. 14 and as an homage to Polly’s 1989 debut, this larger-than-life stay is $89 per person. Requests will open on airbnb.com on Aug. 21 to book one of the three one-night stays for up to four guests each. Those unable to book an overnight stay will have 21 opportunities for a daytime adventure where up to 12 guests can see all Polly and her world has to offer.
