Mövenpick Hotel Hanoi Centre Review

For those of you familiar with my story, you already know that I’ve spent years exploring and living in Vietnam. It’s been about a year since my last visit and it was finally time to return. This was my third visit to the bustling city of Hanoi, a culture hub of Vietnam. During this visit, I had the pleasure of staying at the lovely Mövenpick Hotel Hanoi Centre, which has undergone an intensive renovation and upgrade recently. I was eager to see the transformations they made and fully experience the hotel.

Location

The Mövenpick Hotel Hanoi Centre has a prime location in the Hoan Kiem district. Within walking distance you can find Hanoi’s cultural and historical landmarks. From the hotel, twice during the stay we walked to Hoan Kiem Lake which brought us a sense calm right in Hanoi’s center. Just a few more steps you can find the Old Quarter, known for its traditional architecture, vibrant energy, and fun night life.

Another place I would highly recommend just a stone’s throw from Mövenpick Hotel Hanoi Centre is the Hỏa Lò Prison aka the Hanoi Hilton. This prison provides us a glimpse into the past struggles of Vietnam. I’ve visited twice and find it incredibly interesting and touching.

Executive King, Executive Lounge Access, High Floor

For my stay at the Mövenpick Hotel Hanoi Centre, I was assigned a lovely Executive Club room on the 12th floor, the highest floor of the property. I stayed in complete comfort and thoroughly enjoyed the room and its features for nearly a full week. It felt like everything was designed with comfort and ease in mind.

According to the hotel’s website:

32 sqm of style and comfort. Unwind with plush king bed, pillow menu, en suite bathroom with eco-friendly amenities, 49″ Smart TV, free Wi-Fi and Nespresso coffee machine. Access to Executive Lounge with daily refreshment. High floor guaranteed.

All rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art amenities including a Nespresso capsule coffee machine, a flat-screen TV with international channels, two bottles of water replenished whenever you want, a mini-bar stocked with premium beverages, comfortable slippers and robes, ample storage, and more. The super plush bedding ensured a restful night’s sleep. The only change I would suggest is slightly increasing the size of the shower.

Executive Club Lounge

As you could tell from the name of my room, I had access to the Executive Club Lounge located on the 4th floor of the hotel. The lounge provided a peaceful atmosphere to both relax and work during my stay. It offered a full breakfast, afternoon tea, as well as evening soft/alcoholic beverages and food options. I’m happy to report that the offering was of good value and didn’t feel like it was missing anything.

Food and Beverage Outlets

Mövenpick Hotel Hanoi Centre is a culinary destination in its own right, offering a variety of dining experiences that cater to a multitude of tastes. As I mentioned earlier, the hotel has recently undergone a massive renovation which included several dining outlets and public areas.

Dining Venues:

  • Mangosteen
  • O Macanese
  • Cabana Club
  • Lounge 83

During my stay, I had the chance to experience several of the outlets mentioned above, and I’m happy to report that I enjoyed all of them. First and foremost, I can confidently say that the service at the hotel is top-notch. Rest assured, you will always be greeted with a warm smile. The variety of food and cuisines available was satisfactory across all meals. Breakfast was particularly enjoyable, with both à la carte options and an extensive buffet to choose from.

Hotel Facilities

During my five-night stay at the Mövenpick Hotel Hanoi Centre, I had the opportunity to experience all of the public facilities available. The newly built rooftop pool was exceptional. Just one floor down from the pool is the gym, which was also well-equipped with the most modern workout equipment available. When I really wanted to relax, I stepped into the changing rooms to use the sauna.

Leisure Facilities:

  • Rooftop Swimming Pool
  • Fitness Center
  • Spa

Conclusion

In conclusion, my stay at the Mövenpick Hotel Hanoi Centre was pure enjoyment. This upmarket property is sure to please even the most discerning travelers. The recent updates and renovations were well worth the investment and are ready to be enjoyed by everyone. Whether it’s the delicious food, friendly service, excellent facilities, or the prime location in the center of the city, the Mövenpick Hotel is sure to satisfy and I can highly recommend a visit on your next trip to Hanoi!
