No holiday feast is complete without a large platter of turkey for the family. Especially in this time where it is once again in vogue for larger groups to dine together for Christmas or Thanksgiving, you may wish to order a roasted turkey to feed guests visiting your home for the holidays. 

With the past year’s recurring theme of inflation, I am surprisingly seeing many hotels and restaurants keep turkey prices stable this year. I am even seeing a few vendors offering their turkeys at slightly lower prices, albeit with fewer side dishes to go along with the bird.

Whether it is a Christmas party with friends or an intimate holiday dinner with family, check out this selection of turkeys for 2023. Many of these vendors deliver as well.

Jeffrey’s Christmas Kitchen

Jeffrey’s Christmas Kitchen is a delivery service that specializes in the delivery of all sorts of Christmas dishes. From cakes to sides and roasts, they have it covered for the festive dinner table. Among their specialties is their Roasted Turkey (from S$99.90, 4.5kg) which come with chestnut stuffing and cranberry sauce. Their turkeys are free-range and raised on 100% organic feed. As part of their 12 hour preparation process, their birds are hand-rubbed using their special blend of seasonings before being slow-roasted in the oven. As such, they aim to disprove the myth that turkey meats are dry, hard, and bland. The turkeys are delivered to customers piping hot. Self-pickup option is also available.

For Christmas, Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza is offering the Whole Roasted Turkey with Singapore Sling Marinade, Cherry & Pineapple Stuffing with Singapore Sling Sauce & Port Wine Sauce. The turkey weighs approximately 4.5 to 5 kg and serves 6 to 8 persons and is priced at S$240 net. Their turkeys this year are sourced from the USA with the bird first submerged into a brine solution for 72 hours, consisting of ingredients like orange, juniper berries, cinnamon, brown sugar, white wine and also cherry liquor. This allows it to achieve a crispy and caramelized skin and juicy and moist meat. I’ve tried it myself and it was delicious!

For something more traditional, there is also the Whole Roasted Turkey (S$225) with chestnut and duck foie gras stuffing, cranberry and port wine sauce.

Golden Palm

Golden Palm (from F&G Food) has been providing reliable turkey deliveries for the last couple of years. For 2023, their Roast Turkey (S$140 to S$158) comes as a bundle. The turkey itself weighs 4.4kg and is cooked with a blend of spices. Their turkeys are roasted just 2 hours prior to delivery and customers have reported receiving them still warm and well-insulated. There are a few bundles to choose from including Christmas goodies such as log cakes, smoked duck breast and roasted pork knuckles along with the bird. While they deliver for free, they also have a special promotion where customers can get the turkeys at a cheaper price if they opt to self-collect.
