The Strand Turks and Caicos Resort Opening

Turks and Caicos’ stunning natural beauty is only enhanced by its sophisticated hospitality scene — from private island retreats to sprawling resorts with top-notch amenities fronting its famous white sand beaches, the destination is known as one of the chicest places to unwind. And its latest resort is no exception.

The Strand Turks and Caicos, Providenciales’ newest private resort community, is now taking reservations for stays starting Nov. 23.

Overlooking the beautiful Cooper Jack Bay on the south coast of Providenciales, known for its serenity and rugged landscapes, the property offers residential-style accommodations and a long list of resort amenities, including a beach club, a restaurant, a marina, a kid’s club, and sports facilities. A full-service spa is also in the works for 2025. Until then, guests can book in-room spa treatments.

“At The Strand, our goal is for every guest to feel like an integral part of the vibrant community we’ve cultivated,” John Fair, the community’s managing director, said in a press release provided to Travel + Leisure. “We’ve crafted our programs and facilities to encourage exploration of nature’s playground and to take advantage of the warm, inviting waters of the Caicos Banks.”

Guests of The Strand, part of The Leading Hotels of the World, can book one-bedroom suites, stand-alone villas, and townhome-style residences designed by RAD Architecture (also behind The Shore Club, Turks & Caicos) and the Fort Lauderdale-based design studio Modus Operandi. The interiors of the spaces were dreamed up with the modern traveler in mind and feature floor-to-ceiling windows boasting panoramic ocean views, natural textures and materials, and high-end finishes like coral stone and custom cabinetry and millwork.

The multi-bedroom villas and residences have up to six bedrooms and are perfect for family and multigenerational escapes, with amenities like spacious patios, private pools, outdoor kitchens and dining spaces, media rooms, balconies and rooftop terraces, and firepits.

While The Strand is a quick 15-minute car ride from bustling Grace Bay, packed with great eateries and shopping, resort guests will also have the option to dine on-site at the beachfront The DelMar restaurant. The al fresco Mediterranean-inspired dining concept specializes in locally sourced seafood and prime cuts cooked over a Parilla-style grill. Culinary director Craig McNeil has put together a menu showcasing a variety of global flavors prepared with the freshest ingredients that patrons can enjoy under the canopy of lush almond trees.

The restaurant and its adjacent waterfront bar are part of The Club at The Strand, the property’s social and activity hub, where guests can access an outdoor swimming pool, pickleball and tennis courts, a gym, and water sports gear. The Club will also offer a curated selection of bookable off-site experiences like scuba diving (Turks and Caicos is famously home to the third largest barrier reef in the world), deep sea fishing, and e-foiling.

Parents who want a little time to themselves can take advantage of the babysitting services and kid’s club, which will keep their youngest guests entertained with a variety of supervised daily activities.

You can book your stay at The Strand on thestrandtci.com, where nightly rates start from $800.
