The Salomon XT-6 Hiking Shoes Celebrities Love

It’s not every day that there’s a crossover between celebrity street style and hiking attire, but French hiking shoe brand Salomon is quickly changing that. A beloved outdoor sports equipment brand, Salomon is best known for its hiking shoes. In fact, Travel + Leisure named Salomon the “best overall” hiking boot brand of 2024. While these durable, comfortable trail shoes are well-known amongst hiking enthusiasts, they’ve recently started breaking onto the celebrity-loved sneaker scene. From Bella Hadid and Rihanna to Emily Ratajkowski and Lily Collins, celebrities have been sporting a pair of Salomon sneakers with their everyday looks.

A-listers are gravitating toward the brand’s classic Salomon XT-6 style, but the brand offers so many different options that can be used on the city pavement or intense hiking trails. With a trip to Banff, Canada just around the corner (that’s sure to be filled with lots of fall hiking attire), I thought there was no better time to purchase the trending sneaker for myself. I found many options for the celebrity-worn hiking brand at Amazon, Nordstrom, and Zappos. Sizes are selling fast, so don’t wait to purchase this fall shoe, whether you’re a city dweller or an outdoor hiker.

Salomon Gender Inclusive XT-6 Sneakers

Salomon’s XT-6 shoes are one of the brand’s staple sneakers and a celebrity favorite. The multifunctional shoe features EVA cushioning, durable traction, and support for walking or running. The on-trend sneaker seamlessly switches from an everyday sneaker to a trail shoe, making it a closet essential for adventure (and fashion) lovers. Additionally, the sneaker has removable OrthoLite insoles that allow for custom orthotics and the brand’s Agile Chassis System that guarantees stability for distance runs.

Salomon Gender Inclusive XT-6 Expanse Sneakers

Nordstrom

At first glance, there isn’t a significant difference between the XT-6s and the XT-6 Expanse sneakers. Both of these sneakers can be used on the pavement or the hiking trail, but the main difference is that the XT-6 Expanse silhouette has more of a typical sneaker feel. While the XT-6 has the brand’s patented Quicklace system, the XT-6 Expanse has more traditional lacing. Also, unlike the original sneaker, this version has a pull tab on the back to help slip into the shoe easily.

Salomon Speedcross 5 Trail Running Shoes

Amazon

The XT-6 sneakers can be a fashion statement on the streets of New York City, but the Speedcross 5 sneakers are made specifically for the trails. This pair features sharp lugs that allow for intense gripping on trails, even on wet terrains. One Amazon shopper, who called this sneaker a “fantastic trail running shoe,” said they ran a 22-mile race in them “without any rubs, tripping, or soreness.”

Salomon X Ultra 360 Edge Sneakers

Zappos

Level up your sneaker game with these sleek hiking sneakers. This menswear style has Gore-Tex waterproofing for weather protection, meaning you can wear the sneakers on any terrain during any forecast. It also features a cushioned leather insole for added comfort. The shoe comes in a stylish slate green shade that will surely fit in with your fall hiking attire.

Salomon X Ultra 4 Mid GTX Sneakers

Zappos

This hiking shoe features a mid-cut design and many other components that make it a durable trail sneaker. The Gore-Tex technology adds waterproof protection, and the grippy outsole helps you tackle rugged terrain while hiking, whether traveling uphill or descending. The sneaker also features small yet convenient touches, including its heightened cut for added ankle stability, a rubber toe cap for muddy terrain, and a back pull tab to slip in and out of the shoe easily.

Salomon X Ultra Pioneer Climasalomon Waterproof Hiking Shoes

For ultimate weather protection, try this hiking shoe from Salomon. According to the brand, it is a ”flexible, lightweight, full waterproof bootie,” so you’ll be protected from an impromptu rain shower or a muddy trail. Right now, you can shop deals on these shoes, plus four other colorways, at Amazon.

Salomon Gender Inclusive RX Moc 3.0 Slip-on Sneakers

Nordstrom

These slip-on sneakers differ from the celebrity-loved style but are equally trendy. They feature airy mesh upper fabric that will keep you cool and ready to take on any adventure. The sneakers also have a cushioned insole for comfortable support and a convenient back and front pull tab.
